1. Pillows
1.1. Replace your pillow if:
  • It is flattened out and does not bounce back after use.
  • It is lumpy and uneven at places .
  • It has become very dirty and does not get cleaned even
    after washing .
  • If you wake up in the morning with a stiff neck.
  • 1.2. Selecting the right pillow:
  • Pillow should be filled with soft, silky, fluffy fibrefill.
  • It should be light .
  • It should bounce back when compressed by hands .
  • It should look very even without any lumps.
  • The pillow fabric should be of good quality, to make sure the fibrefill does not come out it.
  • Look for Recron Fibrefill logo, an assurance of quality from
    Reliance.
  • 1.3. Maintaining your pillows:
  • Re-fluff your pillows by hand everyday, so that it regains its
    original shape.
  • Wash your pillows occasionally in warm water (about 50-
    600C) to kill any dust-mites present inside.

  • 2. Quilts
    2.1. When to replace your quilts
    Replace your quilts if:
  • It is heavy and lumpy.
  • It takes very long to warm up.
  • It feels very hot.
  • Has lost its shape and fluffiness.
  • It causes you skin irritation.
  • 2.2. Selecting the right quilt:
  • Quilt should be filled with soft, silky, fluffy fibrefill.
  • It should be light and breathable.
  • It should be stitched with patterns, which are neither very big nor very small.
  • It should be even without lumps.
  • Fabric should be of good quality to make sure fibrefill does
    not come out of it.
  • 2.3. Maintaining your quilts:
  • Buy more than one quilt covers for each quilt. So that you
    can wash the covers instead of quilts when they become
    dirty. It also adds to the decorating value of your quilt.
  • Get them laundered occasionally instead of washing at home
    as domestic washing machines are normally too small to
    accommodate quilts.

  • 3. Mattresses
    3.1. When to replace your mattress:
    Replace your mattress with new ones, if:
  • It has flattened out and does not give the required support to your back.
  • It is lumpy and uneven.
  • It has become too hard.
  • It has lost shape and developed contours.
  • It has become very dirty and does not get cleaned even
    after washing.
  • You wake up in the morning with body pains and lack of
    sleep.
  • 3.2. Selecting a mattress:
  • Buy mattress made of 15 Denier Recron Fibrefill (Non-
    siliconised type), for better support
  • Buy box type and channelled mattress filled with Recron
    Fibrefill for better support and more durability.
  • Check the compression recovery of the mattress by pressing it hard or by sitting on it.
  • Ensure that the mattress is neither too hard nor too soft, and without any lumps.
  • Make sure that mattress fabric is of good quality, so that the fibrefill does not come out of it.
  • 3.3. Maintaining your mattress:
  • Reverse the sides at regular intervals to minimise contour
    formation.
  • Also make the mattress upside down and vice versa at
    regular intervals.
  • Use mattress pads to increase the life of mattress.
  • Do not fold box type mattresses.

  • 4. Tips for a comfortable sleep
  • Use at least two Recron Fibrefill filled pillows for cuddling
    support to your head and shoulders.
  • Use cushions filled with Recron Fibrefill for additional
    comfort to hands and sides.
  • Use box-type mattress filled with Recron Fibrefill with
    channelled construction for good back support.
  • Use a mattress pad filled Recron Fibrefill to make your bed more soft and comfortable.
  • Ensure that your quilt is made of soft, fluffy and silky
    Recron Fibrefill which is light in weight and comfortably
    warm.
  • Make your bedroom inviting by using soothing colours on
    walls, dim lights, and nice pictures. You can also do with soft
    and soothing music of your choice.

  • 5. Make your own pillow
    Here are some fabulous tips to make your own pillow at an economical cost:
  • Buy opened Recron Fibrefill in siliconised type. You can
    choose either 6 Denier or 15 Denier Recron Fibrefill.
  • Insert uniformly in pillow cover fabric (Click here to know the filling quantity).
  • Stitch the open side and even out the pillow by mild beating or hand fluffing.
