The Polyester sector of Reliance is the largest manufacturer of polyester filaments ( POY, FDY, PTY) and staple fibres in the world. It has a world-class R & D facility called RELIANCE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE with state of-the-art analytical, processing & polymerisation facilities and several melt spinning pilot plants, as well as polymer / fibre testing. We have entered into path breaking tie-ups, collaborations & research agreements for new products and technology platforms. We need

"INFORMATION SCIENTIST"

Qualification : Masters in Library Science.

Age : Below 30 years

Experience : Around 2 years experience in knowledge & data management, on line usage / search with data bases like STN, Sci - finder, Delphi on, dialog etc. Exposure to IPR related issues (specially patent related issues) would be desirable. Must be extremely proficient in computers.

Role : Management of E-library at the Technology Centre, data / literature search, building up data base and providing technical information to the team of research Scientists.

"CHEMICAL ANALYST"

Qualification : : M.Sc Physical Chemistry - 1st Class.

Age : Below 30 years

Experience : Around 2 years experience in a R & D laboratory with exposure to Chemical analysis of surfactants.

Role : Chemical analysis of surfactants, testing of surfactants on sophisticated analytical instruments.
Testing and characterization of polyester fibres and filaments. Project literature search, maintaining good lab practices etc.

The work itself would be highly self motivating, rewarding and in a learning environment.
The position will be at the new state-of-the-art Research Complex at Patalaganga (60 Kms from Mumbai. ). Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications & experience and will include performance-linked incentives.
