Reliance Bioenergy

Leading The Way Towards Sustainable
Circular Energy Solutions
Since its inception in 2023, Reliance Bioenergy has rapidly emerged as India's largest bioenergy producer.
At the forefront of transforming waste into energy, we are pioneering a circular economy approach to achieving net carbon zero at Reliance.
Our journey began with establishing two demo Compressed Biogas (CBG) units in Jamnagar.
Subsequently, we executed a record-breaking 10-month construction of our first commercial-scale CBG plant in Barabanki.
Building on this success, we are currently focused on establishing CBG plants across India and plan to expand with multiple plants, in line with our commitment of Net Carbon Zero status by 2035.
Reliance Bioenergy is committed to leading the way in sustainable energy solutions. Through our innovative technology, dedication to environmental stewardship, and digital-first approach, we are committed to providing reliable, sustainable energy solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy.
Compressed Biogas (CBG)
Compressed Biogas (CBG) is a renewable and clean alternative to fossil fuels. It is produced from a variety of organic waste materials, including agricultural residue, cattle dung, sugarcane press mud, and organic fraction of municipal solid waste.
Through a process called anaerobic digestion, organic waste is transformed into biogas, a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. By purifying the biogas and removing impurities like hydrogen sulphide, we create Compressed Biogas (CBG).
Our Compressed Biogas (CBG) exceeds industry standards, with methane content exceeding 96% (v/v). With properties and calorific value similar to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), CBG can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure.
As India boasts an abundance of biomass resources, CBG offers a promising solution to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels while addressing waste management challenges.
Our bioenergy initiative will help meet the growth in transportation fuel demand, foster sustainable rural development, and boost local employment across the country.

Fermented Organic Manure (FOM)
Our CBG production process generates a valuable by-product: digestate. The digestate is processed to produce variety of organic manures fully compliant with FCO 1985 standards. For Fermented Organic Manure (FOM), the digestate is carefully separated into solid and liquid components. While the liquid portion is recycled back into the production process, the solid digestate undergoes a controlled aerobic decomposition process. Through a combination of spreading and aeration, this solid digestate transforms into FOM, an organic carbon-rich product.
Bhoovedyam
We sell our FOM under the brand name “Bhoovedyam”. Bhoovedyam FOM is a cornerstone of soil health, providing essential soil organic carbon (SOC).
Over the past seven decades, organic carbon in our soil has declined from 1% to 0.3%. Bhoovedyam FOM replenishes SOC, thus improving soil aeration, water retention capacity, nutrient use efficiency, and enhances microbial activity providing better quality and higher crop yield.

LFOM and PROM
Liquid Fermented Organic Manure (LFOM) is a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer derived from the liquid portion of the digestate.
We elevate our FOM further by enriching it with phosphorus, creating Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM).
This product delivers the organic matter and the essential phosphate without any adverse effects.

Densified Biomass: Pellets and briquettes
Pellets and briquettes are compressed forms of biomass made from agricultural residue. They are created to increase the energy density of the material, making them easier to transport, store, and burn.
Compared to traditional fossil fuels, pellets and briquettes offer numerous advantages, including being environmentally friendly, carbon neutral fuel cycle, economically viable, and versatile in use.
